In Event #4: $400 NLH 6-Handed, 142 runners generated a $46,860 prize pool that was paid out to the top 23 finishers. Among those to get a piece of it were Kurt Taphorn (3rd - $5,167), Greg Radosh (8th - $1,387), Brad Albrinck (10th - $1,086), Rodney Spriggs (13th - $743), Jerod Smith (16th - $743), and Event #1 champ Charlie Dawson (17th - $651).

In the end, Jeff Sauer bested Adam Elfazzani in heads-up play to win the title for $12,566 and his first gold ring.

“I made one big call with bottom pair and that really increased my chip lead,” Sauer explained. “I won all of my races; it was a lot of fun.”

The 47-year-old continued: “Some of us have to work, not all of us are as good as these professionals … It’s going to be nice this weekend so I will be out with the boys practicing baseball and golf.”
