Martin Paap Eliminated in 11th Place (€14,279)

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Martin Paap
Martin Paap

Over on the outer table, Michael Ugucctoni had chipped up without showdown to pull ahead of Martin Paap. Both were then in the blinds and Paap opted to jam for what appeared to be around 1.4 million, which Ugucctoni called.

Martin Paap: {a-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Michael Ugucctoni: {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Paap had a huge double draw on the {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} flop but came up blank on the {9-Diamonds} turn and {2-Hearts} river to bow out in 11th place. That comes with a payday of €14,279 and the €10,300 WSOPE Main Event ticket.

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Ioannis Chaitas jammed it in for the final 520,000 in the cutoff and the action folded to Michael Ugucctoni, who made the call from the big blind.

Ioannis Chaitas: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}
Michael Ugucctoni: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

When the board ran out {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, Chaitas exclaimed "bad beat" but only then noticed he made the straight for the double.

Tran Flops a Wheel

Level 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Simone Andrian opened to 200,000 with the {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} from under the gun and Do Tran glanced at {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds} in the big blind. He started brief table talk and flat-called to see the {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop for the wheel.

Tran checked and Andrian bet 100,000 in order to receive a check-call. After the {a-Clubs} turn, Tran checked and so did Andrian. Tran also knuckled the {q-Diamonds} river and Andrian checked back to get shown the bad news on the final table bubble.

Michael Ugucctoni raised to 200,000 in the cutoff and Claudio Di Giacomo three-bet to 550,000 on the button. Ioannis Chaitas then four-bet shoved for 1,870,000 and Ugucctoni asked for a count.

Karaarslan Gets Through With a Bluff Against Andrian

Level 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Simone Andrian raised out of the small blind with the {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} in the small blind and Feyzullah Karaarslan defended the {8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} out of the big blind. Following the {q-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop, Andrian bet 250,000 and Karaarslan raised it up to 600,000 for the Italian to call.

The {k-Hearts} followed on the turn and Andrian checked once more. Karaarslan barreled for one million and Andrian stuck around once to then face yet another overcard on the {a-Diamonds} river.

Andrian checked the second street in a row and Karaarslan bet one million once more. A brief tank by the Italian followed and he then folded to get shown the bluff.
