Dave Fox Busts a Player

Dave Fox
Dave Fox
Preflop, Dave Fox bets 5,500 and his opponent thinks for awhile, then reraises all in for just a little more. Fox calls. "I have nothing. You're ahead," Fox says, showing {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts} to the opponent's {A-Spades}{J-Spades}.

The board, however, is {6-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Fox busts his opponent. He has climbed back near the top of leaderboard toward the end of play today, and is at 45,000 in chips.

Louie Esposito, the defending champ, raises to 1,700 preflop and two opponents call. The flop is {3-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. Esposito bets 5,000. The first opponent tanks and eventually reraises all in for 20,000 or so more. The other opponent calls and Esposito asks for a count. Then he thinks, and thinks, and thinks. He thinks some more. Finally, he lays it down.
