Tournament Update

It has been announced that if this event doesn't reach the final table by 10:00 pm PDT (four hours from now), that play will continue tonight until the final table, and then stop. The final table would then be played tomorrow (Friday).

If the final table is reached before 10:00 pm PDT, then play will continue until a bracelet is awarded.

The situation is complicated a bit by the fact that the dinner break is scheduled for 9:00 pm. So if they haven't reached the final table by the dinner break (three hours from now), then this will become a three-day event, with the final table starting tomorrow (Friday).

It seems unlikely that this field will shrink in time to fit at one table by the dinner break, so the safe money is on a Friday final table. Stay tuned for further updates.

Daniel Harnmetz Doubles Through Erick Lindgren

Erick Lindgren limps under the gun for 6,000, Varahram Vardjavand limps from middle position, Dan Harmetz moves all in for 38,000, Lindgren pot-raises to 154,000, and Vardjavand folds.

Harmetz shows {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}, and Lindgren shows {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

The board comes {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, and Harmets flops a set of queens to double up to about 95,000 in chips. Lindgren drops down to about 110,000.

Birinder 'Sonny' Nijran Doubles Up

Sonny Nijran raises the pot and is called Qushqar Morad. The flop comes {10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}. Nijran moves all in for his last 52k and Morad calls. The players show:
