There are 63 players remaining. Four of them are women. Seven of the original 148 players who bought into the event were female. Only Annie Duke, Cyndy Violette, Kristy Gazes, and Isabelle Mercier remain.
"ZeeJustin" Bonomo sent Bill Gazes home when he made a nine-high straight by fifth street. Gazes was drawing dead by sixth street, prompting Eli Elezra to toss Bonomo's last two cards directly back into the muck. Phil Hellmuth was just brought in to fill the empty seat.
Dan Shak won the high with a pair of aces and took down the low with an 8-7-4-2-A. Sklanasky had a pair of sixes for high and an 8-7-6-3-A for a low. Shak scooped the pot and increased his stack to 140K. Sklansky slipped to 56K.
On the river, Erick Lindgren was raised by David Singer on the river and Lindgren folded fours full. Singer won the high with a bigger boat of nines full of tens. Phil Ivey won the low with a wheel.
With each passing level, the players seem to be getting more and more focused on the task at hand. We're still quite a ways from the money, but it's safe to say that all the remaining players are quite intent on "bringing their A-game."
