Rapid Eliminations

The money bubble broke last night just before played ended, which means that there will be a slew of eliminations at the start of Day 2. Stay tuned for names and information.

Ezra Teitelbaum Eliminated by Tony G

On the very first hand of play, Tony G made a raise to 8K from middle position. Action folded to Ezra Teitelbaum in the small blind who moved all in for 18.9K. The player in the big blind, Bob Bright, thought for quite a while before throwing his hand away. Tony G quickly called and turned up {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}. Teitelbaum held {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. When Bright saw the hands, he remarked that he threw away A-K. Teitelbaum caught a piece of the flop when it fell {3-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}. That would be all the help he would see, however, as the turn and river came {3-Spades} {A-Clubs}. Tony G made a meaningless full house on the river to take down the pot and eliminate Teitelbaum.
