2007 World Series of Poker
Event 55 - $10,000 World Championship No Limit Holdem
Day: 1b
Three Minutes Away
Instant I.D.
Well, there are HUGE posters of every Main Event champion hanging around the room and Gold reached inside the frame of the door, pointed up, and said, "Dude, look up, that's me!" Other people waiting outside the tournament room verified Gold's identity and the guard let him inside to get a new seat card.
A Word from Jack Effel
1. You must be at your seat before the last card is dealt, otherwise you will have a dead hand.
2. You cannot be on a cellphone or text messaging when the first card is dealt. If you are, you're hand is declared dead.
3. You cannot put chips in your pockets or conceal them anyway or take them off the tournament floor, they will be taken out of play.
Shuffle Up and Deal!
Level: 1
Blinds: 50/100

Words of Wisdom From Penn & Teller (& Chip Denman)
It's a great quote, and one that often gets mistakenly attributed to Mr. Jillette. (He likes saying it because he firmly believes it.) But he'll be the first to tell you that it was first said by a statistician named Chip Denman.
Penn & Teller do a show six nights a week here at the Rio, and Penn sometimes plays in the local celebrity poker tournaments.
The First Bust Out of Day 1b
Yes, he went broke in the first ten minutes with pocket jacks, no set, no draw.
According to the opening seating chart, the player eliminated was Timo Maymann. But we haven't been able to confirm that.
Pros Playing Day 1B
Clements, Corkins, and Lisandro also won bracelets at the 2007 WSOP.
