Internet Outages

For the second day in a row, the Amazon Room is experiencing extended internet outages. We are doing our best to continue coverage of the tournament in the face of this obstacle.

Tony G Mixing It Up

Action folds around to Tony G in the cutoff seat and he puts in a standard raise. The small blind passes and David Benyamine takes a slow peek at his cards from the big blind. He tosses his cards in showing {A-Spades} {K-Spades} {Q-Spades} {10-Spades} in the process for four to a royal flush. Tony G then shows {8-?} {8-?} {6-?} {6-?} {3-?} for two pair.

Dwan Cracks the Half Million Mark

Current Chip Leader - Tom Dwan
Current Chip Leader - Tom Dwan
Tom Dwan has just passed the 500,000 chip mark after picking up a nice pot against Michael Mizrachi.

Dwan raised to 10,300 and got action for the big blind Mizrachi. Dwan discarded one while Mizrachi stood pat. "The Grinder" checked but Dwan tossed out 18,800. Mizrachi looked him up and was shown {8-?} {7-?} {6-?} {4-?} {3-?} for the win. Mizrachi slips to 75,000 while Dwan breaks half a million with 505,000.

Dario Alioto Doubles Through Michael Binger

After a raise to 12,000 from Michael Binger, Dario Alioto shoved for a total of 30,000 and got a quick call from Binger.

Each of them drew just one card and when it was all said and done Alioto showed {9-?} {8-?} {7-?} {6-?} {4-?}. Binger mucked, clearly quite frustrated and is down to just a mere 30,600. Alioto on the other hand, increases his chip count to approximately 64,000.

Brown Picks Up a Nice Pot

Three-way pots must like pretty juicy at this point in the tournament. After Nikolay Edvakov raised in late position to 12,000, Jeff Lisandro called on the button and Chad Brown called from the small blind. Brown drew one; Edvakov drew two; and Lisandro drew one.

After the discard and draw was completed, Brown led out for 17,000. Both of his opponents folded.

Jim Bechtel Doubles Through Mike Matusow

Action folds to Jim Bechtel in the cutoff seat and he pushes for 32,100. Mike Matusow makes the call from the big blind and stays pat. Bechtel draws a single card.

Matusow waits as Bechtel dramatically checks his hand. "Beat a jack?" says Mike. Bechtel rolls over a {10-?} {8-?} low and Matusow mucks. With the hand he is now just over 75,000. You needn't feel sorry for Matusow, he is still a force with roughtly 290,000 chips.

Grinder Doubles Up Binger, Then Busts

It was a tough couple of hands for Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi. First, he doubled up Michael Binger when Binger called Mizrachi's all in for 39,300. Mizrachi drew one; Binger stood pat with a 10-9. Mizrachi was drawing very live with 7-6-4-2 in his hand, but bricked up when he paired fours.

Shortly thereafter, he moved all in for his last 13,000 and was called by Dario Alioto. Each player drew one card. Mizrachi again had an excellent draw with 8-7-5-2, against Alioto's J-10-6-3, but again he paired up. Alioto caught a four to make a jack-ten and send Mizrachi to the rail.

Shawn Sheikhan raises to 12,000 from under the gun. Action folds around to Brandon Adams on the button and he moves all in for 22,400 total. The small blinds passes and Chris Ferguson moves all in for 46,000 from the big blind. Sheikhan folds and it's Ferguson and Adams heads up.

Adams draws one card and Ferguson keeps his hand as-is. Adams shows a {10-?} {9-?} low but falls short against the {8-?} {7-?} of Ferguson. Brandon Adams is eliminated.
