When All Else Fails...

Hellmuth Mucks Bullets
Hellmuth Mucks Bullets
In middle position, Phil Hellmuth limped in and Ray Henson checked in the big blind. The flop was {K-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Henson checked. Hellmuth bet and Henson check-raised. Hellmuth three-bet and Henson folded.

"When all else fails," Hellmuth said while mucking his hand, "limp in with aces."

He's at 9,500.

Sculpture Tilt

Matt Matros and Amnon Filippi showed down on a board of {10-Spades}{Q-Spades}{K-Spades}{J-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} with 20,000 in the pot. Matros had {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} to {Q-?}{Q-?} for Filippi.

Filippi lost, and destroyed his elaborate chip sculpture in the process.

Sixty-Six

There are 66 players remaining. 21 of them won't make the money. We're playing until the end of this level (another half hour), taking a break, and then playing all the way until the money. When the bubble bursts, the remaining players will get a one-hour dinner break.

Hang, Sullivan Trade Chips

Kenny Sullivan raised under the gun and Tommy Hang reraised in the cutoff. Sullivan three-bet all in and Hang called.

Sullivan: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Hang: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

Board: {6-Spades}{7-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

Sullivan doubled up through Hang to 10,000. On the next hand, Hang got A-A versus the {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and took it back. Sullivan now has 5,000.

Sixty-Two

Only 17 spots away from the money, play doesn't seem to be tightening up any. We may hit the bubble very quickly.
