Flying Dutchman Clipped

Omaha Hi/Lo:

Marcel Luske has attempted to put some pressure on his opponents with his big stack but Doug Ganger held firm in a recent Omaha hand.

On a board of {2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{8-Spades} there was plenty of action as Ganger showed down {Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{10-?}{8-?} for a full house, sixes full of eights. Luske looked mildly frustrated, yet a little bemused, as he flashed {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the king-high flush before mucking his hand.

Marcel Luske Nearly Crippled

Omaha-8

On the river, with a board of {K-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {4-Spades} {10-Spades} , Marcel Luske bet out into Jens Voertmann. Voertmann proceeded to raise. Luske made the call and Voertmann showed {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} {2-?} for the nut straight. Luske mucked his hand.

After this pot, Luske is down to around 380,000 in chips.

Luske Moves Down Even Further

Stud:

Marcel Luske was involved in a hand with Doug Ganger in which he bet every street and was called down the whole way by Ganger. On showdown Luske showed ({3-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {7-Spades}){8-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {K-Hearts} for a missed draw and Ganger showed ({9-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {K-Clubs}){9-Clubs} {2-Spades} {7-Clubs} {6-Hearts} for a pair of nines.

After the hand Luske is down to 265,000

Players Are Back

Our final three players have returned from break. During the break, Marcel Luske has arranged his area all nice and neat. He looks determined to try and make a comeback in this event.

Luske Chips Up

The first few stud hands after the break have gone the way of Marcel Luske without too much opposition as his opponents avoid doubling up the short stack. Luske is hovering just under the 400,000 chip mark.

We're now onto stud-8.

Marcel Luske Gets Healthy Again

Stud-8

A hand between Marcel Luske and Jens Voertmann was bet on every street through sixth street.

Seventh Street:

Luske: {2-Hearts} {A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} {10-Spades}
Voertmann: {7-Spades} {Q-Spades} {K-Clubs} {10-Clubs}

Luske bet out on seventh and Voertmann called.

Luske showed ({Q-Hearts} {10-Hearts} X) for queens up and Voertmann mucked.

After the hand, Luske is up to 560,000 in chips.

Luske Rollercoaster!

Stud-8:

In two consecutive hands, Marcel Luske lost a big pot but then won it right back again!

In the first hand he held {Q-Spades}{6-Spades}{J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} but mucked when Jens Voertmann showed ({Q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}) {5-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{A-Clubs} for the flush to scoop the pot.

However the very next hand Luske collected a nice pot against Doug Ganger. Luske raised on 4th street and then bet the whole way with ({4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts}) {6-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a straight and low as Ganger tabled ({A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}) {Q-Spades}{4-Spades}{J-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for two pair.

Luske is hanging in there and has a lot of support on the rail as they will him home to capture the first ever Dutch WSOP bracelet!
