Diamonds Are a Girl's Worst Enemy

Albert Iversen had just moved to Table 15, and it took no time at all for him to get into a big pot.

He limped in from the small blind, and Sarah Bilney checked her option in the big. The flop came out {J-Diamonds}

. Iversen led out with a bet of 2,500, and Bilney bumped it up to 7,000. She told us she was sure she was ahead at this point in the hand. Iversen wasn't so convinced though, as he came back over the top with an additional 14,500 chips. Bilney moved in for the rest of her chips, about 47,000 total. Iversen called, and the hands were revealed:

Bilney:

Sarah Bilney's assessment of her opponent was spot on. Unfortunately for her though, the {6-Diamonds}

peeled right off on the turn, making Iversen a flush and leaving her drawing dead. The river was a meaningless {4-Hearts}

, and all of Bilney's chips got pushed over to Iversen.

Top Set Tehan

Joe Tehan was able to secure a monster pot and vault his chip count over 200,000 when he got involved in a pot with Simon Ravnsbaek.

The flop came {4-Hearts}

after Tehan raised preflop to 11,500 and Ravnsbaek called. Again, Tehan bet 11,500 and this time Ravnsbaek pushed all in. Tehan made the call and tabled {Q-Hearts}

for top set. Ravnsbeak showed {3-Diamonds}

. The turn and river blanked off and Ravnsbeak mourned the loss.

Tehan has 207,000.

All In and Racing

William Haughey raised from the cutoff seat, making it 6,000 to go. Stuart Paterson reraised all in, and Haughey called with his last 25,000 chips instantly. He showed down {K-Hearts}

and was flipping a coin against Paterson's {8-Diamonds}

.

The flop provided more drama as the dealer spread {10-Clubs}

. Paterson made his set, but still had to fade the open-ended straight draw. The turn is a safe {Q-Clubs}

, but the river rolls off perfect for Haughey. The {A-Clubs}

makes him the winning straight, and knocks Paterson down a peg.

Tehan Takes on Schaefer

In a recent confrontation, Joe Tehan and Brandon Schaefer got it all in preflop. Tehan tabled {A-Clubs}

. Schaefer was behind and at risk of elimination with his {A-Hearts}

.

The board hit them both, but kept Tehan in the lead when it ran down {6-Diamonds}

. Schaefer couldn't catch up, and he heads to the rail early. Tehan, meanwhile, has climbed all the way to very near the top of the leader board. He now sits with 253,000.

Kim Takes Out Daugherty

Brad Daugherty moved all in preflop with a short stack, and Ian Kim reraised all in, isolating himself against the at risk player. Daugherty turned over {K-Spades}

and was racing for his tournament life against the {9-Spades}

of Kim.

The board came out {3-Clubs}

. Daugherty had plenty of outs by the time the river card rolled around, but he failed to hit them, and he has been knocked out. Ian Kim, on the other hand, has upped his count to 87,000.

Offen Gets Offed

From middle position, J.C. Tran opens the action with a raise. Action passes around to the big blind, where Hanno Offen is waiting to move all in. Tran calls him down, and the hands are tabled:

Tran: {J-Clubs}

Offen:

The community cards come {4-Clubs}

. Tran leads the whole way, and ends up with a full house by the time all is said and done. He drags in a nice pot and sends Hanno Offen packing.

No Money For Yoon

Aliaksandr Dzianisau raises to 4,000 from the button, and Heung Yoon flat calls from the big blind. The two players go heads up to a flop of {A-Hearts}

Yoon checks, and lets Dzianisau put out a bet of 2,100. He calls.

The turn is the {J-Hearts}

. Again, Yoon passes to his opponent, who bets 3,300 this time. Yoon puts in a check-raise to 10,300, and Dzianisau calls.

The river comes the {Q-Diamonds}
