Dario Wins Without a Showdown

Omaha-8:

Tad Jurgens raised from middle position and Dario Minieri called from the big blind. They took the {A-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {6-Hearts} flop heads up. Minieri check-called Jurgens' bet and the {A-Spades} hit the turn.

Minieri checked again and Jurgens fired. Minieri put in a raise and Jurgens obliged with a call. The {Q-Diamonds} hit the river and this time Minieri bet. Jurgens threw his hand away and Minieri took the pot. He's up to approximately 145,000 chips after the hand.

Giang bet, Bechtel raised and Giang gave it up.

Diego Cordovez Eliminated

Diego Cordovez - Eliminated
Diego Cordovez - Eliminated
Razz:

Diego Cordovez was just eliminated when he came up short in a hand of razz against Greg "FBT" Mueller. Cordovez was all in on 4th street but when it was all said and done, Cordovez's {10-?} {9-?} {8-?} {7-?} {4-?} couldn't match the {7-?} {6-?} {3-?} {2-?} {A-?} of Mueller and he was eliminated.

Woops!

No Flops in Razz
No Flops in Razz
Over at table 3, on the first hand of razz, after the 3rd street action was complete the dealer burned and began to put out a flop. Needless to say there were multiple shouts of "whoa!" and "stop!" from the various players. In the end, there was no harm done and the situation resulted in a good laugh.

Gus Hansen (X-X) {2-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {K-Hearts} (X)

Allen Cunningham (X-X) {6-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {A-Spades} (X)

Allen Cunningham led out the whole way and Hansen called him down. Cunningham turned up {2-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {9-Clubs} on the end for 6-4-3-2-A and Hansen mucked.

After the hand, Cunningham was up to 101,000 while Hansen was on fumes with only 14,000.

Wanna Buy a Boat?

Ralph Perry has apparently put his boat up for sale and was talking to Layne Flack about purchasing it.

"You know the saying," said Flack. "The best day of your life is when you buy the boat and the next best is when you sell it!"

Flack may not be interested in Perry's aquatic vehicle, but apparently Greg "FBT" Mueller is mulling the purchase.

Not the Duke of Razz

Razz is Brutal
Razz is Brutal
Razz:

Annie Duke (X-X) {3-?} {5-?} {4-?} {Q-?} (X)

Eli Elezra (X-X) {5-?} {3-?} {10-?} {7-?} (X)

Daniel Negreanu (X-X) {A-?} {9-?}

Eli Elezra completed on third street and both Annie Duke and Daniel Negreanu called. On fourth street Elezra bet out, Duke called and Negreanu folded. Duke took the lead on fifth, getting a call from Elezra, but bricked on sixth street and called Elezra's bet. Elezra bet seventh street and Duke called.

Elezra turned up {A-?} {2-?} {7-?} in the hole for a 7-5 low and Duke mucked. She's down to 30,000 after the hand while Eli climbed to 75,000.

Thater Bests Gazes

Katja Thater
Katja Thater
Stud:

Gazes: (X) (X) {3-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {6-Clubs} (X)
Thater: (X) (X) {K-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} {8-Spades} (X)

Bill Gazes completed on 3rd street and Thater raised. Gazes reraised and Thater four-bet. Gazes called. Thater bet 4th street and Gazes called. When Gazes bet 5th street, Thater paused and said, "Do you have quads?" before eventually calling.

She called him down to the river and her ({K-Spades} ({10-Spades}) ({10-Hearts}) {K-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} {8-Spades} beat his ({K-Clubs}) ({K-Diamonds}) ({J-Spades}) {3-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {6-Clubs}. Thater stacked the pot and left Gazes shaking his head.

Mikhail Ustinov Doubles Up

Stud:

Mikhail Ustinov called David Bach's bets all the way to fifth street, with Ustinov committing the last of his chips showing {10-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} to Bach's {8-Clubs} {K-Spades} {7-Hearts}. Ustinov had {K-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} in the hole for a flush draw but the {4-Hearts} he caught on sixth street ended up being good enough as his pair of fours held up and he survived. That double-up still leaves him very short with just 16,000 chips.

Raymond Davis Makes a Straight Flush

Stud-8:

Raymond Davis just scooped a pot against Stephen Wolff when he held ({10-Clubs}) ({8-Clubs}){7-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} ({9-Clubs}). Benyamine asked Davis if there were any way he could be bet off the hand and he replied, "Hell no. I had a straight draw, a flush draw, and a low draw. I'm not going anywhere."
