Ship it to Vivek!

Vivek Rajkumar
Vivek Rajkumar
Vivik Rajkumar garnered a nemesis in an unknown player with whom he'd traded raises for about four consecutive hands prior to the one that follows; Vivik had the last laugh:

Vivek opened the pot with a 1,600 preflop raise and his opponent kicked it up to 4,100. Vivek made the call and saw a flop of {10-Clubs} {3-Spades} {A-Clubs}. His opponent then fired a 5,000 bet and Vivek called again.

The turn brought the {7-Spades} and Vivek called another bet by his opponent; this time it was 8,500.

Fifth street brought the {5-Diamonds} and Vivek's opponent open-shoved all in, a bet totaling 21,300. After what seemed like an eternity in the tank, the unknown player called a clock on Vivek and with two seconds remaining he made the call, tabling a mere {J-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}. His opponent mucked straight away and Rajkumar took down the monster pot, bringing his chip count to 78,000.

"So much pressure . . . all these people looking at me!" said Rajkumar as he raked in the pot.

Shorr on a Rush

Shannon Shorr
Shannon Shorr
Shannon Shorr has been quietly climbing up the leaderboard since the dinner break. In a recent hand, Shorr eliminated an opponent when his pocket aces held up against an opponent's pocket tens in what was a preflop all-in confrontation. The hand brought him past the 80,000 mark in chips and he shows no immediate signs of slowing down.
