As we get closer and closer to the money, play tightens up considerably. We're only four eliminations away from hand-to-hand, and players aren't anxious to be eliminated now.

Hand-for-Hand

We are now hand-for-hand! It is only five minutes into the start of our last level for the night and we are just one away from the money. We'll keep you posted as soon as the bubble burst!

Murphy Gets Set Up

Preflop, Young Phan led out for 3,600 from under the gun and was called by John Murphy on the button. The flop fell {J-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {K-Spades}. Phan led out for 8,000 and Murphy called. The turn brought the {A-Diamonds} and Phan check-called a 17,000 raise from Murphy. The river was the {10-Clubs} and after Phan checked, Murphy made it 24,000 to go. Phan came over the top by moving all in and Murphy eventually folded the hand, but not before flashing pocket eights for a flopped set.

After the fold, Murphy is down to 23,000 while Phan is up over 100,000.

The Bubble Has Burst

We are now officially in the money! The crowd of 270 players here let out a joyous yell to celebrate and applause broke out immediately. We'll have the bubble hand for you in just a moment.

Good Day to be the Bubble

We actually had two players bust out on the bubble today, which means that they will actually split the prize awarded to 270th place.

The first elimination that was reported was of David Pointer who moved all-in from the small blind with pocket aces and was called by a player in the cutoff who held {6-Clubs} {7-Clubs}. Pointer's opponent flopped an open-ended straight draw which connected on the river and eliminated Pointer on the bubble.

The second elimination was of Dove Byrne, who was all-in in the small blind for just 300 and was called by Jeff Kent. Kent held pocket twos and Byrne held J-6. Byrne failed to hit a pair by the river and was eliminated from today's event.

Kings for Tran

JC Tran eliminated Ben Story when Story pushed all in for 4,000 preflop and Tran called with pocket kings. Story held {4-Clubs} {J-Clubs} and although he hit a four on the flop, he wasn't able to best Tran's hand and was eliminated.

The Master Catching Up

Men 'The Master' Nguyen is in second place for most WSOP cashes with 59 to his name. Phil Hellmuth leads the pack with 65. Tonight's cash for Men puts him at 60, getting him that much closer to Phil's record.

Also of note, Men's wife, Van Nguyen, has also cashed this evening and is playing just a few tables down from the Master.

Phan Hooks Yet Another

Young Phan managed to eliminate yet another player tonight after a player on the button moved all-in for his remaining 1,000 in chips. Young moved all in on top from the big blind and everyone got out of the way. Phan turned over pocket jacks while his opponent showed A-3. His opponent failed to improve and Young continued to build his chip stack and is now up to 128,000.

Khan Continues to Eliminate

With action folded around to the small blind, Khan made it 3,200 to go and the big blind called for his remaining 1,900. Khan showed {10-Hearts} {5-Hearts} while his opponent, Alexander Maria, showed {J-Clubs} {2-Hearts}. Khan spiked a five on the flop and eliminated his opponent.
