We started Day 1 at 12:00 pm with 1,592 players. Thirteen hours and 10 levels later, we have just 152 of them remaining.

Theo Tran is the presumed overnight chip leader with 145,800 in chips. Official chip counts will be released shortly, and we'll post them for you as soon as we can.

Official Day 1 Chip Counts Released

The chips are bagged and the players are gone, but the work at the WSOP goes on. Harrah's has now released the official Day 1 chip counts for Event #7, $2,000 No-Limit Hold'em, which saw the players eke into the money before the session concluded for the night.
