The flop came down {J-Spades} {2-Spades} {2-Diamonds} and Horkko bet Negreanu out of the pot. Horkko held {4-Clubs} {4-Spades} and Shulman held {Q-Clubs} {10-Clubs}. The turn brought the {7-Clubs} and then the river the {A-Clubs}, eliminating Shulman from the tournament in 5th place.

Negreanu Quieting Down

Daniel Negreanu was up and running around the room for the end of last night and into the early start to today. He was playing well, running well, and feeling great about it. Now that Negreanu's got some closer competition and we're down to four-handed poker, he's seemed to buckle down and try and concentrate on the game, rather than the fans.

Anyone Else Have Three?

Last year, Daniel Negreanu took home $204,874 for his win in the $2,000 Limit Hold'em event. This year, first place will be worth $223,688. That event that Negreanu conquered last year had 480 entrants. This field is smaller with 367 players to begin with.

Negreanu recently asked if anyone knew of another player holding three bracelets in limit hold'em. Negreanu already holds two and was wondering if he'd pull in the lead if he so happens to win his third today. After some brief research, it was found that none other than Phil Hellmuth is the only player that holds three gold bracelets in limit hold'em. Negreanu could tie him with a win today, but right now has dropped to third on the leaderboard.
