Danzer Continues to Accumulate

George Danzer raises preflop to 1,500 and the big blind defends.

The flop is {9-Spades} {J-Hearts} {9-Hearts}, and it's checked to the German who bets 2,000. The big blind thinks for a moment before throwing in 3,000 as that's what he thought the bet was.

Since it's 50% more than the bet, it's deemed a min-raise and made to 4,000. Danzer called, but said he wasn't entirely convinced the guy had made a mistake, thinking the other player might be making a move to look weak.

On the {A-Clubs} turn, the big blind checked again and Danzer bet 3,500 before being check-raised to 7,000.

"At this point I was sure he had jacks full!" said Danzer, but he elected to make the call. The river was the {8-Hearts} and the big blind led out for 3,000 and Danzer called, getting shown a flush, but the German flipped {A-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {8-Clubs} for the boat.

Jan Heitmann watching from the rail said, "I think if he [the big blind] pushes on the river then George would fold..."
