The field has exploded to 155 since we arrived this afternoon, and they're still coming in. Looks like wanging $10,000 on a limit bracelet event is a decision to be taken on a complete whim, an hour after the tournament starts. Good on them.

Timoshenko Arrives

Another late arrival is young gun Yevgeniy Timoshenko. At 21 years of age, Timoshenko has already achieved more than most are able to in decades of blood, sweat and tears on the felt.

With success in Europe and Asia before he was even legal to play in the States, Timoshenko grabbed everyone's attention with his victory in the season-ending WPT Championship this year for a collect of over $2 million.

Timoshenko tasted his first WSOP cash result yesterday in the $10,000 Heads-Up World Championship, and will be very keen for a deep run in this event.

Big Pots Hard to Come By

Among the notables currently in possession of rather more than their fair share of the lowest denomination grey 100 chips are Dragan Galic, Maya Gellar, Brock Parker, Bill Chen, Scotty Nguyen and Annie Duke. We can only assume that they've been getting jiggy with some small-ish pots, but to be honest there's not much actual change in the stacks so far. What can you do, it's limit.

Andy Bloch raised the button with the big blind making the call. Bloch then fired three streets of value on a board of {7-Clubs}

and was called down the whole way. Bloch tabled {A-Diamonds}

for the rockets and rivered full house to collect a nice early pot.

Mueller Muscles Pot

Greg Mueller opened with a middle position raise to 600 and found two callers in Maya Gellar and a player in the big blind.

They took a flop of {J-Diamonds}

and action checked to Gellar, who fired a bet. The big blind player raised and Mueller reraised, making it 900 to play. Gellar stepped aside and the big blind called.

The turn was the {6-Spades}

and it was checked to Mueller, who fired another 600. His opponent called and they both checked down the {9-Spades}

river. Mueller tabled {A-Spades}

for the best hand as his opponent mucked.

to the obvious consternation of his opponent, who just mucked. More of those precious low-denomination chips for Chen.
