Ward Busts

Jack Powell raised to 20,000 from early position and Dennis Ward took a stand, pushing all in for 108,000. Powell called with {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} while Ward showed {A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}.

The board of {2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{2-Spades} left Ward with just ace high and a nice parting gift, while Powell ended up with a stack worth 430,000.

Wong Doubles Through Bevand

Kyle Brown raised to 20,000 and Manuel Bevand came over the top for 190,000. Marty Wong called all in for less, Brown folded, and we went heads up to the flop.

Wong: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Bevand: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

Wong hit top pair on a flop of {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and held on when the board finished {4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. He doubled up to 215,000.

Tabb Doubles Through Miner

William Miner
William Miner
William Miner raised to 18,000 from middle position and Steven Tabb re-raised to 55,000. When Miner shoved all in, Tabb made an instant call.

Miner: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Tabb: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

A king in the door of a {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop kept Tabb ahead and he held the lead when the turn and river finished {4-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

The hand dropped Miner back to 290,000 and boosted Tabb's stack to 575.

Cutler Doubles Through Woodall

Warren Woodall made it 20,000 to go from early position and Joe Cutler pushed all in for 137,500. Action folded back to Woodall, who made the call.

Woodall: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Cutler: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

Woodall needed running sevens after a flop of {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, but they didn't come when the board finished with the {8-Diamonds} and {J-Clubs}.

Cutler's stack climbed to 295,000 after the hand while Woodall's slipped to 695,000.

Grondin Cripples Meyers

Laurence Grondin opened to 27,000 from middle position before it was folded round to Brandon Meyers in the cutoff, who made it 79,000 to go.

With the action back on Grondin, she pushed her remaining 147,000 into the middle and after a few moments deliberating, Meyers made the call.

Grondin: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}
Meyers: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}

The board fell {5-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades} to see Grondin double to 420,000 as Meyers was left crippled with 52,000 in chips.
