Webb Getting Desperate

Maria Ho raised from the cutoff and on the button Daniel Webb re-popped; she called.

Ho check-called the {6-Hearts} {9-Spades} {J-Clubs} flop and then bet out on the {Q-Clubs} turn. Both players checked the {2-Diamonds} river, and Ho's {A-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} had binked just enough to beat Webb's {A-?} {K-?}.

Ho: 19,000
Webb: a very precarious 3,000

Sands Could Fill a Beach

David Sands is absolutely on fire -- he's knocked out another player and is up to 39,000.

A flurry of preflop raising led to our soon-to-be-busted player getting all his chips in preflop with Sands and another opponent looking at a {Q-Hearts} {J-Spades} {2-Hearts} flop. Sands' opponent check-called all the way down the flop, the {8-Clubs} turn and the {K-Hearts} river and then flipped over {K-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} for top two -- but Sands had flopped the set with pocket {Q-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} and took the pot. The hapless all-inner mucked and left.

Back We Go; Sands Still Leads

Our current chip leader, David Sands, is sitting on 38,000 in chips and is to the immediate left of second chip leader Daniel Negreanu. Could be interesting.

Third in chips but not at the same table is John Monette, on around 30,000.

Transit Out of the Amazon Room

Tran - do I have to leave now?
Tran - do I have to leave now?
J.C. Tran spent much of the last level in the danger zone and has finally succumbed.

He raised from the cutoff and then called a reraise from the gent on the button. Tran check-called on the flop and then moved all in on the turn; his opponent called and out he went.

Tran: {K-Hearts} {8-Diamonds}
Mr Button: {A-Clubs} {8-Clubs}

Board: {6-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {7-Spades} {9-Hearts} {9-Diamonds}

...That's exactly how they're dropping right now. We started with 446, we came back from the last break with 178, and we're now down to 152. At this rate tomorrow might not take until 3am. Although now I've said that...
