Black Doubles

Mike Dietrich raised to 4,100 from the button and Scott Black reraised to 15,100 from the small blind. Dietrich made the call and Black bet another 10,000 on a flop of {2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{J-Clubs}.

Dietrich moved all in and Black called.

Dietrich: {K-Spades}{2-Spades}
Black: {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

The {10-Clubs} and {A-Spades} provided no help for Dietrich, who doubled back up to 73,000.

65th For The Master

Number 65 for Men
Number 65 for Men
Men 'The Master' Nguyen approached one of our PokerNews reporters and told us that this was his 64th WSOP cash.

Wrong.

This is actually Nguyen's 65th WSOP cash to keep him in second place; just eight short of Phil Hellmuth.

Christensen Continues To Soar

Jon Christensen has been on a tear since the tournament hit the money.

Firstly he flopped a set of fours to send a player to the rail, and then a few hands later sent two players to the rail when his {A-?}{K-?} outdrew then held up against {A-?}{Q-?} and {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} when the board ran out {3-Spades}{6-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{4-Hearts}.

Christensen is now up to 405,000 as we approach the first break of the tournament.

Harb Starts Motoring

Can we have another multi-bracelet winner?
Can we have another multi-bracelet winner?
With an all in ahead of for 6,900, Anthony Harb pushed all in from the small blind for 16,700. The big blind made the call and the cards were tabled.

Harb: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Big Blind: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Opponent: {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Harb more than doubled to 42,000 as one player hit the rail.

Master'D Out

The Master hits the rail
The Master hits the rail
Amit Makhija opened {8-?}{8-?} on the button, only to have Men 'The Master' Nguyen push his last 22,000 into the middle from the big blind with {9-?}{8-?}.

Makhija called, and once the board bricked out Nguyen hit the rail for his 65th WSOP cash.

On a site note, Nguyen's wife Van is still in, but struggling on a low 11,000 in chips.

Christensen Clipped

Catching the action with the board reading {7-Spades}{J-Clubs}{J-Spades}{4-Spades} David Woo led out for 8,000 before Jon Christensen raised it to 24,000.

Woo made the call and checked the {A-Diamonds} on the river, only to be faced with an all in bet for his tournament life.

Woo ummed and ahhed for nine minutes before eventually making the call for his last 93,800 holding {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}.

Christensen tabled his {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for a bluff as he slipped to 275,000 while Woo soared to over 250,000 in chips.
