An open pair of treys for Michael Mizrachi on sixth street was bad news for Joe Cassidy. Cassidy completed third street and was called by Mizrachi. After that, Cassidy played his hand very cautiously, check-calling fourth street and calling every street after that when Mizrachi grabbed the beating lead. At the river, Mizrachi checked. Cassidy squeezed his river card extremely slowly, then checked behind. Mizrachi opened to take the pot with tens and treys.
Mizrachi is up to 490,000 now. Cassidy has slipped back to 308,000.
Joe Cassidy called the bring-in of Dan Heimiller before Mizrachi completed the action. Adams, Nguyen and Cassidy all made the call. On fourth, Mizrachi led out before Adams raised. Nguyen quickly made it three bets and Cassidy stepped aside. Mizrachi made the call. Adams deliberated for some time before deciding against getting caught in the middle as he folded.
On fifth street, Nguyen paired up and bet out causing Mizrachi to fold. After the hand Nguyen claimed to be holding for a full house but we're not so sure if Mizrachi believes him!
On the last hand before the break, Michael Mizrachi caught the bring-in and called Dan Heimiller's completion bet. Heimiller bet the lead on fourth street, but was facing a bet from Mizrachi on fifth street. The amount of the bet, 30,000, was exactly how much Heimiller had left in his stack. He tanked for about a minute before folding.
Nikolay Evdakov - 885,000
Men Nguyen - 820,000
Vladimir Schmelev - 760,000
Brandon Adams - 660,000
Michael Mizrachi - 465,000
Steve Billirakis - 440,000
Joe Cassidy - 245,000
Sirious Jamshidi - 175,000
Dan Heimiller - 30,000
Nikolay Evdakov is into the chip lead as Dan Heimiller is going to need to pull off something special to get back into this! The players are back from the break and play has resumed.
Almost all of the table -- minus Dan Heimiller -- is a little bit steamed after an odd play by Nikolay Evdakov. Evdakov completed third street. Heimiller moved all in for less than a full raise, getting a call from Sirious Jamshidi and Evdakov.
Jamshidi and Evdakov both checked fourth street. Heimiller caught open aces. "That seems fair to me," he said.
On fifth street, Jamshidi cecked and then folded to a bet from Evdakov. Evdakov opened just a single pair of nines.
"What is this guy doing?" Jamshidi asked. "What sort of play is that?"
Heimiller caught two pair, aces and jacks on sixth street. Evdakov did not overtake him on the river, allowing Heimiller to triple up.
"No one's happy about that," said Michael Mizrachi.
Jamshidi took up his case directly with Evdakov. "I'm in the hand so it's two against one, not to play against you," he said. "I wouldn't have bet the entire time."
A happy Heimiller grinned at Jamshidi and joked, "Collusion!"
You'd be forgiven for thinking that Sirious Jamshidi was a little steamed after that previous hand when he came out firing fiercely in the next pot. After calling the completion of Michael Mizrachi, Jamshidi fired all the way with Mizrachi making a reluctant call on the river.
Cassidy: (X-X) /
Mizrachi: (X-X-X) /
Jamshidi: /
Broadway for Jamshidi was good for the double up to 300,000 as Mizrachi slips to 320,000.
Steve Billirakis and Men Nguyen went to war in a big pot, with Billirakis coming away victorious at showdown. Nguyen had the betting lead on fifth street and fired a bet into the pot. Billirakis called that bet, then took significantly longer before calling a bet on sixth street.
Down the river, Nguyen still had first action. He slowly squeezed each of his three hole cards in turn before betting. Billirakis also squeezed, and then called.
"Kings," said Nguyen. He didn't open his hand. Billirakis showed for two pair, tens and sixes. Nguyen flashed the {Kh] before mucking, allowing Billirakis to claim the pot.
Billirakis is up to about 600,000. Nguyen is down to roughly the same.
