Baker Stays Alive

Michael Chow raised and then David Baker reraised and was all in. Tony Merksick called from the small blind and then Chow called as well. Merksick and Chow checked it down from there.

The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Merksick tabled the {A-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for a straight. Chow tabled the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Baker held the {A-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}. Baker was able to win the low and stuck around in the tournament with 40,000 chips left.

"F***ing check it down with a straight," commented Baker after the hand, upset at Merksick.

"I thought he had ace deuce," responded Merksick.
