Krause Takes Another One

Andreas Krause has had a great start to the day and is back in the action after being nearly out. Robert Ferdinand raised under the gun, and Dan Heimiller called from the cutoff. Krause joined them from the big blind, and the flop came {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Krause bet out, earning a fold from the original raiser, Ferdinand. Heimiller called. the turn was the {j-Hearts}, meaning there'd be no low this hand. Both players checked to the {7-Spades} river, and Krause bet again. Heimiller shrugged and folded, and Krause took down another one.

Epic Tank Results in Fold for Seed

Normally, in a fixed-limit tournament, you don't see players think through their decisions for much longer than 30 or 45 seconds because the decision is never for more than one bet. However, when that bet represents half of your stack behind, and the pot is three times your stack behind, it's a much more critical decision.

Huck Seed found himself raised on the river of a {9-Hearts} {j-Hearts} {k-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {4-Hearts} board by Dan Heimiller. Seed tanked for more than three minutes, talking to himself all the while.

"I run so bad I can't believe it."

"Will you show if I fold?"

"I was going to bluff you and I made a flush."

Ultimately, Seed flashed his flush to Heimiller and then mucked, preserving 40,000 in his stack.

Reategui Gone

We've lost another former bracelet winner from the feature table. Shortly after Bach's exit, Anthony Reategui moved all in for less than one raise from the small blind with {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}. The big blind, Joe Leibman, called with {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}, giving Leibman a nine-high straight and a low to scoop the pot and send Reategui home in 21st place.

Crane Lifted

Just as Brian Lives was leaving in 20th place, Ward Crane was all in with {A-}{A-}{J-}{J-} against Hamid Salari's {A-}{4-}{10-}{8-}. The board fell {K-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades}, and Salari's rivered ten-high straight was enough to relegate Crane to a 19th-place finish.

With 40 minutes left in the level, they are now pausing to redraw to two tables.

Heimiller Scoops Viox

Chris Viox raised from the small bind, and Dan Heimiller three-bet from the big blind. Viox called, and the flop fell {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}. Chris check-called a bet from Heimiller. Repeat the check-call after the {q-Diamonds} on the turn and the {10-Diamonds} on the river. Then Heimiller tabled {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for the nut low and aces to scoop the pot. He is up to 350,000 while Viox slipped to 70,000.
