Gottlieb Three-Quarters To Claim Lead

Gottlieb claims the lead
Gottlieb claims the lead

On one of the first hands back from the break, Steve Jelinek and John Gottlieb got all the money in the middle preflop. Gottlieb held the {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Jelinek the {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}.

The flop came down {J-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Spades} and Gottlieb flopped the best low draw and also a spade flush draw. The turn brought the {2-Hearts} and gave Gottlieb the best low going to the final card. The river card was the {J-Diamonds} and paired the board. Both players held aces up for the high and Gottlieb's 8-6-5-2-A low won him the low.

Gottlieb was able to quarter Jelinek, knocking him down to 350,000 in chips. Gottlieb moved up to 830,000 and claimed the chip lead.
