Stone Walled

Gabriel Walls raised from the cutoff. Claudio Rinaldi raised it up from the big blind. Walls tossed in one more raise, and Rinaldi made the call.

The flop came down {7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Rinaldi check-called Walls' bet.

The turn brought the {k-Hearts} and again Rinaldi checked, but this time folded to Walls' bet.

Steicke Takes One from Taylor

David Steicke made it two bets to go and Thomas Taylor called from the big blind.

The flop came down {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}. Taylor check-called Steicke's bet.

The turn brought the {8-Spades} and Taylor checked to Steicke once more. Steicke through in a bet and Taylor made the call.

Both players checked the {4-Clubs} river.

"King-high," said Taylor. Steicke showed {j-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} or a pair of jacks to take the pot.

Yu Have Aces

On a flop of {10-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, Javier Torresola, in the small blind, checked. Ben Yu, from the big blind bet, and Tyler Bonkowski made it two bets on the button. Torresola made it three bets and both Yu and Bonkowski called.

The {5-Clubs} fell on the turn. This time, Torresola bet, and both Yu and Bonkowski called.

When the {6-Spades} hit the river, Torresola checked to Yu, who tossed in a bet. Bonkowski made the call and Torresola got out of the way.

Yu tabled aces and Bonkowski tossed his cards in the muck.

Steicke in the Mud

After just chipping up a bit, David Steicke is now eliminated from Event #53.

We missed the hand in question, but we do know the meat and potatoes about it. Terrence Chan busted him with {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} on a {k-}{10-} X board. Steicke held {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and could not improve.

Steicke will have to settle with $4,135 while Chan has his eyes on a second final table.

Chan Takes it Down

The flop came down {6-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and Matthew Kelly made a bet from the small blind. Terrence Chan, in the big blind, made it two bets, and Kelly followed along to the turn.

The turn was the {4-Hearts} and Kelly check-called Chan's bet.

On the {6-Hearts} turn, Kelly checked to Chan who tossed in a bet. Kelly open-folded {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. Chan took the pot, but only showed the {q-Hearts}.

Chan is at 133,000 and Kelly is at 73,000.
