The temperature is well over 100 degrees outside but inside the Amazon Room, it's nice and cool. Welcome back to the Rio for third day of action in Event #8. 25 players will be back today to play down to a winner for the eighth bracelet of the 2010 World Series of Poker. There is a chance for history to be made today, Phil Hellmuth is in contention for his 12th bracelet.
Leading the way is Saar Wilf with 1,207,000 chips. He will be the only one in the field to start the day with more than one million in chips. His closest competitor is 2009 Casino Employees event winner Andrew Cohen with a stack of 848,000. Phil Hellmuth is sitting fifth in chips with 556,000.

After action folded to Scott Vener on the button, he raised to 32,000 and the small blind folded. Ronald Eberhard, who was in the big blind, reraised to 70,000.
Vener asked how much Eberhard had behind, which turned out to be 180,000, before making the call. The flop came and Vener checked. Eberhard went to bet all in but did so in a string bet manner.
"It's alright," Vener said, "I'm all in." Eberhard called and turned over but was behind Vener's
. Eberhard was looking for help but both the turn and river blanked.
Eberhard became the first player to be eliminated on Day 3.
Kurt Disessa was all in for 170,000 on the button holding and was called by James Andersen, who held

The board ran out and Disessa doubled to 360,000. Meanwhile, Andersen is down to 120,000.

Cohen remained ahead when the hit the turn, but the
on the river gave Kollmann a flush and the pot. He more than doubled to 312,000 while Cohen dropped to 682,000.
We didn't catch the action, but it was recounted for us by a player at the table. Paul Fehlig got it in with against an opponent with

The flop gave Fehlig a flush draw when it came with two hearts. But the turn,

were no help.
Paul Fehlig has been eliminated in 24th place for a $16,275.
We missed the action but Andrew Cohen explained that Erich Kollmann was all in with against the pocket nines of Pascal LeFrancois.
Kollmann couldn't improve and lost all of his chips to LeFrancois. Kollmann was eliminated in 23rd place for $16,275.
