Thao Nguyen - Eliminated in 7th Place
Thao Nguyen - Eliminated in 7th Place

Steve Merrifield started the action by raising to 65,000, Andy Frankenberger three-bet to 150,000 on the button, and Thao Nguyen moved all in for 600,000 from the small blind. Merrifield released, and Frankenberger instantly called.

Nguyen: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Frankenberger: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

Nguyen was in terrible shape, but the {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{4-Clubs} kept him alive a little longer. The {j-Hearts} on the turn increased his outs, and he could now double with any queen for trips, or a ten for a straight.

The river was a brick however - the {6-Clubs} - and Nguyen was eliminated.

Frankenberger took down the pot, recorded the knockout, and is now above 2.5 million chips.
