Guillaume Rivet Eliminated in 15th Place ($12,450), John Mccaffrey Eliminated in 14th Place ($12,450)

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

We caught up with the action three handed on a {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts} board. John Mccaffrey checked and Vladimir Shchemelev bet. Guillaume Rivet came in with a raise and Mccaffrey check raised. Shchemelev called as did Rivet who was all in.

The turn was the {9-Clubs} and now Mccaffrey was all in. All three players turned up their hands.

Mccaffrey: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Shchemelev: {K-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Rivet: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}

The river was the {7-Clubs} to give Shchemelev the best two pair and eliminate both players. He was up to 560,000 after the hand.

Waxing Lyrically

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Ryan Lenaghan raised preflop from UTG and Matthew Waxman made it three bets from the hijack. Kostas Kathalakis cold-called from the cutoff and Lenaghan aslo called.

Waxman fired all the way of a {9-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Spades} board with the other two players calling him down until the river where they both mucked. Waxman is up to 610,000.

Daniel Smith Eliminated in 13th Place ($12,450)

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Daniel Smith
Daniel Smith

Daniel Smith was involved in a three way pot with Humberto Brenes and Michael Deveronica with the board reading {2-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Brenes checked, Deveronica bet and Smith raised, Brenes folded and Deveronica called.

Deveronica then check-called a double bet on the {K-Hearts} turn, before setting Smith all in on the {K-Clubs} river. Smith called with {A-Spades}{4-Hearts}{5-Spades}{10-Hearts} but found he was behind to Deveronica's {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs} which had backdoored into a boat.

Just twelve remain.

Big Stacks Tangle

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

We just had a monster pot between three of our chip leaders. Matthew Waxman raised on the button and Francesco Barbaro called in the small blind. Vladimir Shchemelv three bet from the big blind and the other two players called.

The flop came {J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Barbaro led out. He got raised by Shchemelev and Waxman threw in a three bet. Barbaro got out of the way and Shchemelev made the call. The {3-Clubs} turn went check bet call as did the {7-Hearts} river. Waxman held {K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{9-}{X-} for a flush and the high while Shchemelev had {A-}{A-}{6-}{X-} for the low.

Gonzalez on Death Row

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Fabrizio Gonzalez is on the brink of elimination with just 1,000 left. He limp-called blind on blind against Cameron McKinley and fired the turn and river of a {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} board after both players checked the flop. McKinley called both bets and showed {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a baby flush to win.

The next hand Gonzalez raised the button and McKinley made it three bets in the small blind. McKinley then bet every street of the {K-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts} board and Gonzalez called him down with {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades} only to find he was being scooped by his opponent's {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} for two pair with an A-6 low.

Fabrizio Gonzalez Eliminated in 12th Place ($15,484)

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Fabrizio Gonzalez
Fabrizio Gonzalez

Fabrizio Gonzalez was down to a single 1,000 chip and a chair. He threw that chip in under the gun and Cameron McKinley called. Ryan Lenaghan also called but Richard Monroe raised it up and both players called. The flop rolled out {K-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Monroe bet. Lenaghan called and the action went the same on the {8-Clubs} turn. The story was the same when the {9-Hearts} hit the river and the players showed their cards.

Monroe: {A-}{K-}{7-}{3-}
Lenaghan: {A-}{5-}{3-}{2-}
Gonzalez: {A-}{10-}{8-}{2-}

Gonzalez was able to survive by chopping the main pot with his two pair against the other players' lows and was up to three 1,000 chips after the hand.

Those three chips were at risk the very next hand when Gonzalez was the big blind. Travis Pearson raised it up and Kostas Kalathakis made the call from the small blind. The flop was {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and went check bet call. The action was the same on the {2-Diamonds} turn as well as on the {8-Diamonds} river. Pearson and Kalathakis showed {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. Everyone would now have a sweat as Gonzalez turned over his cards one by one. In the end, he was only able to muster {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for one pair and the worst low. His hand was bested by two pair and the nut low and Gonzalez hit the payout desk.
