Losing Lew

We found Randy Lew raising to 650 and the player on his immediate left, Mike Leah reraise and make it 2,450 for any one to see a flop. Action folded around and Lew called the bet.

A flop of {8-Spades}{A-Hearts}{4-Spades} brought checks from both players, and a {10-Spades} on the turn. Here Randy checked again, and Leah jumped on the chance and made a bet of 2,000. After tanking for a while Lew folded and Leah won the pot.

Conquering Conway

We found Thomas Conway putting out a bet of 2,600 on a {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{J-Spades}{8-Spades} board. His opponent thought for a long while before eventually putting the chips in the middle. Conway showed {Q-Spades}{J-Hearts} for a set of jacks. His opponent couldn't counter and snorted in disgust as he threw his chips in the middle.

Boyd Busted

We caught up with Dutch Boyd just as he was placing a 1,200 bet in the middle of the table on a {k-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} board. His opponent in early position made the call. A {3-Spades} turn lead to another bet from Boyd who fired out 2,400 this time. Boyd's opponent again called fairly quickly.

A river {8-Spades} let Boyd continue his aggression with a 3,500 bet. Boyd was only left with 2,800 chips after this bet and his opponent raised him just that. Boyd confused, but still confident made the call and to his horror saw his opponent flip {4-}{4-}, for a full house fours over threes. Before Boyd walked away he showed {3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a set of threes.
