Lubarsky Wins

With the board reading {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs}, Hal Lubarski had his opponent all in. Lubarsky held the {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for fives full of nines and his opponent mucked his cards and shook Lubarsky's hand before he headed to the rail.

Lubarsky has now secured his spot in round two and his second WSOP cash.

Lew Beats Aguiar

Jon Aguiar got his last 1,000 chips in preflop holding the {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} against PokerStars Team Pro Randy Lew's {9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. The flop came {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} leaving Aguiar in the lead, but the {5-Clubs} on the turn gave Lew a wheel. The river changed nothing and Aguiar was sent to the rail while Lew will be moving on to round two.

Pokerstars Pros Can be Down, But They are Never Out

After being one of the first tables to get heads up Victor Ramdin took his time before he ultimately claimed victory. Ramdin started heads up with a 3-1 chip lead, but slowly that lead vanished. After about an hour he found himself with barely 3,000 chips in front of him. After winning a crucial double up Ramdin was able to get back on track and able to come out ahead at his table.

Not to be outdone, Eugene Katchalov also won his table. He as well got as low as 3,000 chips, but found a way to persevere. Both Pokerstars Pros will be returning tomorrow to seek further glory and a bracelet.

The turn was the {10-Clubs} and again Pilgrim checked, the button bet and Pilgrim called.

The river was the {q-Diamonds} and both players checked. Pilgrim showed {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} for the win and to move up to 32,500

Henson Busted

Ray Henson raised and Todd Witteles called. After the flop came {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, Witteles checked to Henson who bet. Witteles then raised and Henson called. The turn brought the {9-Spades} and Witteles bet and Henson called. The river was the {5-Diamonds} and both players checked.

Witteles showed the {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for a ten-high flush and Henson was left with only 1,200 in chips.

Henson got the remainder of his chips in shortly thereafter holding the {9-Diamonds}{4-Spades} against Witteles' {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. The board ran out {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Witteles' pair of tens was best eliminating Henson.

Witteles is now moving on to round two!
