Matthew Camrody - 3rd Place

Nachman Berlin raised to 200,000 from the button only to find Matthew Carmody three-bet all in from the small blind. Andre Akkari got out of the way and Berlin called.

Berlin: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Carmody: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

The flop came {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Carmody screamed "YES!" immediately followed by a "No!" as he saw that he paired his queen but then noticed that Berlin made his set of nines.

It wouldn't be poker with a sweat, though, as the {10-Diamonds} came on the turn, giving Carmody an open ended straight draw, needing an eight or king on the river to win the pot. The river came {A-Spades}, giving Carmody two pair and the losing hand. He will be going home with $295,625 in prize money.
