The Durrrr Stack Watch

Tom Dwan has built a nice stack in the first two levels, just a hair under 12,000. He just left to begin his Day 2 of the $2,500 Omaha/Seven Card Stud Hi-Low-8 or Better. He's above average, but outside the top ten leaders, with 201 players remaining.

We'll keep an eye on how his unmanned stack does today and let you know when he returns to play a few hands.

Papola Climbs Back

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

Jeffrey Papola raised to 300 from under the gun and action folded all the way around to the player in the big blind who made the call. The flop came out {8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{j-Spades}. The player in the big blind checked and Papola bet 250. His opponent made the call.

The turn brought the {4-Spades} and both players checked. The {k-Hearts} hit on the turn and Papola's opponent checked. Papola bet 650 and his opponent made the call.

Paplola turned over {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} to take down the pot.

Kojo Not Gelling With His Neighbor

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

We found this developing on the river with Kunimaro Kojo all in on the river. The board read {9-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {J-Clubs} and the pot was around 7,000 already and Kojo had 3,500 for his opponent to call.

While watching the hand one of the players at the table told us that it was the second hand in a row where Kojo shoved on the river against the player on his right. He said, "He just keeps jamming it in there."

Kojo's opponent folded and it looks as if his neighbors are in for a long day.

Chop It Up

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

A player under the gun +1 raised to 325 and Adam Levy reraised to 800 preflop. Action folded back around to the original raiser who put out enough chips to put Levy all in. Levy made the call.

Levy turned over {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and his opponent turned over {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}.

The board ran out {k-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades} and both players chopped the pot.

Buzio's and Pavilion Room Players Only

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

All of the tables that started the event in the Amazon Room have been moved to tables in the Pavilion Room. The field is now spread throughout the Pavilion Room and the 14 or so tables located across from Buzio's.

Affleck Backs Down

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

Matt Affleck opened for 350 from the cutoff and the player in the small quickly three-bet to 1,100. The big folded and Affleck tanked for a bit, staring his opponent down. He eventually flicked his cards toward the dealer.

Even with the small loss, it appears Affleck has done well for himself thus far, as he currently sits with 8,100.
