David Williams Busted

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

We found David Williams' seat unoccupied and without a stack. The table informed us that after two preflop limpers Williams raised and another player jammed in one of the blinds. Williams called holding {A-} {J-} and was beaten by the jammers {A-} {Q-} on a dry board.

It's Gotta Be the Shoes

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

We found this hand with the board reading {10-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} {2-Spades} {Q-Spades} and Christina Lindley was calling a 225 bet from the player on her direct right. The river came {4-Diamonds} and Lindley's opponent threw out a 1,000 bet into pot of no more than 700.

Lindley gave him a good stare and then leanded over and clearly checked out the guy's shoes. She looked at him one more time and and then threw in the call.

Her opponent smiled and said, "You've got it," and didn't want to show his hand. Lindley said she wanted to see it and he tabled {J-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} for a busted straight draw. Lindley showed {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds} and took the pot.

Another player at the table asked, "Have you ever had a woman stare at you like that?" and the table all started laughing.

"What kind of shoes do you have on anyways?" another player asked.

Just goes to show that woman are always looking at your shoes.

Jaka Chipping Up

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

Action folded around to a player in the hijack and he limped. Farak Jaka limped from the button, the small blind completed and Jeff Williams checked his option in the blind.

The flop came down {4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and the first three players checked to Jaka who bet 300. The next to players two act folded but the player in the cutoff called. The turn was the {10-Spades} and it was checked to Jaka who bet 500 this time. Once again, his opponent called.

The river was the {9-Hearts}. Jaka bet 1,125 which for the third time was called by his opponent. Jaka tabled {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for a rivered pair of nines. His opponent couldn't beat it and Jaka moves up to 9,600.

Parker Flops a Boat, Gets Raised

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

From under the gun Brock Parker opened for 225 and action folded all the way around to the player on the button. The unknown player called and the blinds released. The flop came {J-Spades} {7-Spades} {J-Diamonds} and both players checked. The turn came {A-Spades} and Parker bet 200. The button raised to 1,000 and Parker insta-raised to 3,200 -- enough to put the player all in.

The button player called and the river came {K-Hearts}. Parker tabled {7-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} for a flopped full house and the other player showed {A-} {Q-}, collected his belongings and hit the rail. Parker is up to 6,700.

Gill Finds a Double

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

Facing a raise to 250 and a call in front of him, Carter Gill moved all in for his last 2,200 or so chips. The initial raiser moved all in over the top and got the other player to fold.

Gill held {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} and was well ahead of the {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} of his opponent. The board ran out a clean {5-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and Gill doubles up to just over starting stack.

Chick & Chu Are Coming For You!

The Australian contingent of the PokerNews Live Reporting Team stumbled upon two renowned poker personalities paired up on table 121 - that of renowned poker blogger and 2009 ANZPT Melbourne Main Event runner-up Heath "TassieDevil" Chick and 2007 Melbourne Poker Championship winner Haibo Chu.

We even got some chip counts and a hand with Chu in it. That's because we're cool.

From early position, Chu raised to 275 and another player in middle position called, as well as the player on the button to go three-handed to a flop of {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}. Chu and the middle position player checked to the button who opened for 325, Chu called and the middle position folded, then Chu and the button checked down both the turn of the {10-Spades} and the river {K-Diamonds}.

Chu showed {A-Hearts}{5-Spades} and the button tabled {A-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} - that's what we call a chopportunity, folks.
