Wilmot's Winning Ways
Haiyan Tian started out a recent hand from middle position by making it 1,525 preflop. She received a call from Erica Falcone in late position, and Matthew Wilmot in the big blind.
After a 
flop was released on the felt, Wilmot checked and Tian put out a bet of 4,525. Falcone quickly got out of the way and Wilmot quickly moved all in. Tian playfully upset went into the tank. After a minute or so of measuring out chips and pondering Tian confidently made the call.
Tian held 
for a pair of kings, which was well ahead of Wilmot's 
which was a pair of eights. Things changed quickly after the 
fell on the turn. Tian would have to hit a diamond or a king in order to catch up. She received no such luck as the 
hit the river giving Wilmot quads.
