Pfaltzgraff Doubles Through Hillock

From under the gun, Jean-Paul Delay raised to 20,000. In the next seat, Seth Pfaltzgraff reraised all in for 119,000. Play folded to Josh Hillock on the button and he went into the tank. After a minute or two of thought, Hillock reraised all in for approximately 160,000. The blinds and Delay gave it up, leaving Pfaltzgraff and Hillock to battle.

Pfaltzgraff: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}
Hillock: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and Pfaltzgraff won the pot to double up. Hillock was left with 41,000 as the players ended the level for a 20-minute break.

Barry's Big Chance

After a {k-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} board was expose Barry Shulman check-called a bet of 17,000 from John Dolan. On the {3-Spades} turn Shulman again checked. This time around Dolan bet out 29,000 a bet that was quickly outmatched when Shulman moved in. Dolan called pretty quickly and cards were tabled.

Dolan: {5-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Shulman: {5-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Shulman had the lead for now, but there was still a river to come. A {j-} on the river chopped up the pot and neither player was able to rake in all of the massive pot.

Wasserson's Full House Better than Pfaltzgraff's

Seth Pfaltzgraff raised from the cutoff seat to 16,000 and Eric Wasserson made the call from the big blind. The flop came down {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} and Wasserson checked. Pfaltzgraff checked behind.

The turn was the {J-Diamonds} and Wasserson led for 15,000. Pfaltzgraff called.

The river was the {K-Hearts} and Wasserson fired 50,000. Pfaltzgraff called.

Wasserson showed the {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Pfaltzgraff showed just the {K-Diamonds} before mucking his hand.

Kings are a Winner

Jean-Paul Delay opened a recent hand from middle position and was quickly reraised by the small blind. Jessica Bertrand Hanna then quickly moved all in. Delay then took his time figuring out if losing this hand would affect his massive chip stack. In the end he opted to fold. The small blind player immediately made the call and flipped over {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. Hanna disappointingly flipped over {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for a weaker pair, but anything can happen.

A {5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop was spread by the dealer leaving a jack and a jack only as Hanna's out. A {10-Diamonds} caused Delay to throw his arms up in frustration as he later revealed he held {10-}{10-}, but a {k-Spades} on the river allowed him to gratefully be happy he made the right fold. With her jacks never improving Hanna was eliminated later her on day 2.

Clock on #438

With a {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop spread we saw Gregg Wilkinson check-call a bet of 42,000 from Amir Lehavot.

We saw a change of pace on the turn with Wilikinson betting out 60,500 instead of checking. Action was then on Lehavot who went deep into the tank. Eyeballing the pot, his opponent's stack, his own stack; it appeared that Lehavot was taking every option into consideration. He might have gotten lost in it, and eventually after enough time had passed the clock was called. This is second time today that the clock has been called on Lehavot. Right when it seemed like his time was going to expire Lehavot gave the hand away and now sits around 160,000.
