The party is over, the laughing has been replaced by the shuffling of chips and the camaraderie is gone. The remaining field has realized how far along they've come. It's a race to the final table now and these players would gladly bust their neighbor.
A five-figure payday is not too far off for these players. Action has tightened up and it's a decidedly serious tone surrounding the tournament, a stark difference from the madness just 24 hours ago.
Recently we have seen Huy Nguyen be on the wrong end of some large pots. Dejected but not out we saw Nguyen get all in and at risk by the likes of Robert Jin.

It was basically a race going to the flop, but a on the flop gave Nguyen everything he could imagine holding two pair. A on the turn was it and Nguyen was awarded the pot. A meaningless fell on the river, but it was so irrelevant we don't even remember what it was.
We came upon this hand on the turn between Eric Baldwin and Bona Sar. Action was on the turn with the board showing . Sar bet 40,000 and Baldwin tossed in a stack of green T25,000 chips - enough to put Sar all in.
Sar called quickly and Baldwin moaned, "I guess that's not good for me."

Baldwin:
The river bricked with and Baldwin sent chips across the table.
Dmitry Kataev open-shipped from middle position and Jamie Armstrong re-shoved from the button to isolate. The blinds released and the cards were tabled.
Kataev:
Armstrong:
The board ran and Armstrong earned the knockout. He's also putting himself in position to make a deep run to the final table.
An under the gun player open shoved for about 100,000. Dan Smith who was next to act then moved all in himself for 162,000. The table folded around and we had heads up action. The under the gun player then said "well, it was nice playing with you all" assuming Smith had the better hand, but he was mistaken. Smith possessed while the under the gun player held a dominant .
A flop gave Smith the lead. A on the turn and a on the river were enough to send the under the gun player home. As he was shaking hands and wishing good luck to everyone he said again "well it was nice playing with you all".
Eric Baldwin opened from under the gun for 17,000. Action folded around to the big blind who moved all in for around 80,000. Baldwin made the call fairly quickly and cards were tabled.

A board ran out and Baldwin was able to add on to his already large stack.
Eric Baldwin opened for 17,000 from the cutoff and Michael Gathy raised to 41,500 on the button. Baldwin tossed out three T25,000 chips for a total of 92,000. Gathy thought for a few moments and announced all in. Baldwin called and tabled . Gathy held .
The board ran and Baldwin doubled up and is tied for the lead.
