We recently found Joe Tehan turning over almost all of his chips on a board. We do not know what Tehan held, but we know it was a loser. Tehan's opponent had and was able to take in a sizable pot of over 50,000 with the win.
Tehan now sits with about 9,000 and is going to need some major help if he wants to get back within contention.
We don't know exactly how the action went preflop, but what we do know is Maria Ho had her shorter stacked opponent all in and at risk. Luckily for Ho her was ahead against her opponent's , but anything can happen.
A flop was laid out and Ho furthered her advantage, she could even secure the win with any heart falling on the turn or the river. A on the turn and a on the river insured the win for Ho, and she was shipped a sizable pot. Now crossing the 100,000 mark Ho is a threat to be reckoned with in today's field.
Maria Ho has been very busy in the opening levels today. We just caught her open to 3,500 and Timothy Stoeckiln called from the small blind. The flop came , Stoecklin bet 4,500 and Ho raised to 10,400. Stoecklin to just a few moments to fold his cards.
With a handful of raises preflop, we saw Dan Smith and his opponent get to a flop. We don't know how the action went, but after a series of more raises Smith's short stacked opponent was all in and at risk.
Smith:
Opponent:
Smith was ahead for now with his set of aces, but any club or jack would ship this pot away from him. A on the turn was able to calm Smith's nerves a little, but it was the on the river that let him breathe easy again.
Don Fleming opened in early position for 3,500 and Anthony McCann raised to 8,200 in middle position. Action folded back around to Fleming and he called. The flop came and both players checked. The turn saw Fleming bet 7,000 and McCann called. The river came , Fleming bet 9,500 and McCann called.
Fleming tabled for a rivered pair of aces with no kicker and McCann had him crushed when he tabled for a set of aces.
