Peters Rivered

We just saw David Peters take a huge blow to his stack after getting two-outted on the river.

On a flop of {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, two players checked to Peters, who led out for 6500. The player in seat nine called and Mandy Baker folded. The turn brought the {Q-Spades} and the player in seat nine moved all in for 28,300. Peters took very little time before making the call with {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, which was way in front of his opponent's {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Peters needed to fade an eight to send the other player to the rail, but the {8-Clubs} binked on the river. Peters looked disgusted as he sent a pile of chips across the table. He's down to 28,000.

Timoshin Sends Kelly to the Rail

Action folded around to Matthew Kelly, who by that point had dwindled to just 5,300, and he moved all in from the cutoff. Mikhail Timoshin was in the big blind and opted to defend.

Showdown
Timoshin: {Q-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Kelly: {A-Hearts}{4-Spades}

Kelly was in the lead and managed to stay there on the {K-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop, but the {Q-Clubs} spiked on the turn to crush his dreams. He needed an ace on the river to stay alive, but it wasn't in the cards as the {J-Hearts} blanked.

Mitchell Finds a Double

Poker pro Nick Mitchell lost most of his stack with queens against aces early in the day, but he just found aces himself to get a much-needed double up. Mitchell open shoved for 18,900 with {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} and a player called with {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}. The board ran out {Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Mitchell faded a massive draw on the turn and river to increase his stack over 40,000.

Dentale Doubles Big Through Lebreton

Michael Dentale limped under the gun and cleared the field all the way to Sebastien Lebreton, who raised to 5,500 in late position. After the button and blinds got out of the way, Dentale made the call and then check-called a bet of 7,500 on the {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop.

Dentale checked once again on the {Q-Clubs} turn, but this time he moved all in for 67,800 after Lebreton bet 12,000. The latter made the call with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}, but it was behind the {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} of Dentale.

The {7-Diamonds} river was of no consequence, and Dentale received a big double to 153,000.
