Kunikeyev Triples; Shorr Scoops the Side

Action began with Antone Kunikeyv going all in for his last 15,600. Action folded over to Shannon Shorr on the button, who announced a call. The player in the big blind then announced *he* was all in for 49,000. Shorr tanked, but eventually opted to make the call and all three hands were revealed.

Shorr: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Kunikeyev: {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}
Big blind: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}

The board ran out {7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Kunivkeyev scooped the main pot with his jacks. Shorr claimed the side pot with his pair of sixes and the player in the big blind was eliminated.

Chait Doubles Through Seed

Action began with Joshua Chait going all in for his last 36,000 from middle position. Huck Seed flatted from the the cutoff position and everyone else got out of the way.

Seed: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}
Chait: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}

The {K-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts} left Chait with a pair of kings and he doubled through Seed.

Seed is short, but still in, with 59,000.

Ivey Is a Hero

Level 13

Phil Ivey just keeps going deep day after day here at the 2012 World Series of Poker and he even impresses some other big names.

David Benyamine just stopped by to check out the action and saw Ivey seated in the final 27 players. "Phil Ivey, you're my hero!" yelled out Benyamine from the rail. Everyone, including Ivey, got a laugh.

Benyamine went on to needle Ivey a bit, but in jest. "This guy, he's just toying with everyone! He keeps doing deep and making final tables, but then busts out in second, third or fourth place!" he joked. "I guess he just wants to win the last one!" he finished, to which he implied the Main Event at the end of the Series.

"Or the second to last one," responded Ivey with a turn of his head to the rail, hinting towards the $1,000,000 One Drop event.
