Welcome back to the Rio as we play down to a champion here in Event 38: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em at the 2012 World Series of Poker. Who will be the champion? Well, that’s what you’re here to find and we can tell you that regardless of who takes home the victory, it’s going to be a great day of poker.
Of the 21 players who will arrive to the table today, it is Jeffrey Manza who starts with the largest chip stack. Manza’s 1,302,000 in chips is only almost matched by Dung Nguyen’s 1,273,000, while the next closest player is Matthew Pierce with 804,000.
Also joining these big chip stacks at the felt are Scott Clements, Blair Hinkle and David Pham. All of these players have proven themselves on the big stage of the WSOP before, and will be looking to add another bracelet to their trophy cabinets.
Of course, there can only be one winner though and if one of the above players wants to come away with the “w”, they will need to get through the likes of Zachary Korik, Michael Borovitz, Blake Cahail and Jesse Wilke.
There will be no better way to find out who becomes our newest champion than getting all the live updates from PokerNews, so strap yourselves in and get ready for some poker. It all begins at 1:00 PM, don't miss it!

A couple of nice little hands just took place simultaneously on Table 451 and Table 457.
One of the hands was between Blair Hinkle and David Pham and we were at the table, there was already a board showing and Pham was checking to Hinkle. At this point there was already around 200,000 in the pot and Hinkle was betting around 120,000. Pham tanked for almost a minute before letting his hand go, sending the pot to Hinkle.
The other hand saw Theo Tran put in a bet on the river of a board showing all low cards. Only Dung Nguyen made the call and then sent his cards into the muck when Tran tabled .

We have just had a couple of all-in players. Michael Borovetz was all-in preflop on his table, but didn't get any action and Miguel Proulx three-bet shoved over the open from Matthew Pierce. Proulx watched on stoically as Pierce thought long and hard for over a minute, eventually Pierce opted to fold, showing an as he did so.
On Table 457, a flop was showing and Tyler Patterson was involved in the hand with Jason Lester. By the time we arrived at the table, all the chips were going in and the player's cards were being turned over.

Patterson had flopped a great hand and Lester was in trouble. No help came on the turn or river and once the stacks were counted out, Lester was left with just a couple of big blinds.

Fischer held when he got his stack in preflop and was unlucky to run into the of Kristijonas Andrulis. The board ran out and it was all over for Fischer.
