Perry Takes Small One Early

Level 9

Omaha-8

"And the first walk of the day, goes to!" Perry Friedman exclaimed out of the big blind, as the action folded around to the player in the small blind.

However, the small blind would not oblige, flicking in enough to make the call. The {7-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} flop was spread on the felt and the small blind check-called a bet from Friedman. Both players then checked the {9-Hearts} turn and then do the same on the {j-Spades} river.

Friedman tabled his {k-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, with his straight enough to scoop the pot. Readers may recall that Friedman finished in fourth place in Event 10: $5,000 Stud a couple of weeks ago.
