Moreno's Pair of Aces Are Best

Action folded to the player in the hijack seat and he raised to 400. Andrew Moreno was in the cutoff seat and three-bet to 1,025. Play folded back to the original raiser and he called, but only after the big blind accidentally exposed {10-}{2-} face up.

The flop came down {A-}{8-}{2-} rainbow with one club. The hijack seat checked and Moreno bet 800. His opponent check-raised to 2,200 and Moreno called.

On the turn, the {4-Clubs} came in and the hijack seat led for 3,200. Moreno called to see the {5-Clubs} complete a backdoor flush draw. Both players checked.

The hijack seat showed the {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a pair of fives, but that was no good against Moreno's {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} for a pair of aces. Moreno won the pot and moved to over 44,000 in chips.
