Greg Mascio Eliminated in 11th Place ($14,908)

Greg Mascio
Greg Mascio

Greg Mascio was under the gun with just 16,000 chips after he had just three-betted pre flop and folded on the flop. He moved all in and it got to Thayer Rasmussen who raised to 40,000 from the button. Davis gave up his small blind and after a couple of seconds Racener kicked it in from the big.

Greg Mascio showed {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and laughed as Davis accidentally exposed the {Q-Hearts} when he folded his cards. Rasmussen showed {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and the flop came down {K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} giving both players a pair. The turn was the {3-Spades} giving Rasmussen the nut low draw but he didn't need a chop because the {Q-Spades} hit the river giving him trips. Mascio is out in 11th place and we are redrawing for the final ten players.

Brian Lives

Brian Lives battle finally came to an end at the hands Thayer Rasmussen.

Rasmussen opened and called Lives three-bet to see a {8-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop. Lived bet the rest of his chips when checked to him and he was called.

Lives: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Spades}
Rasmussen: {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and Rasmussen's flopped flush stayed good.

Tyler Schwecke Eliminated in 13th Place ($11,957)

Tyler Schwecke
Tyler Schwecke

The first of two hands Tyler Schwecke just lost went as following. From the hijack Bryan Jolly raised to 30,000, there was no small blind since Joey Spanne just busted, and Schwecke three-bet to 45,000 from the big blind. Jolly called.

The flop came down {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Schwecke bet 15,000, Jolly called. The turn was the {Q-Diamonds} and Schwecke was all in for his final 15,000 chips. Jolly called with {A-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Schwecke was in a perfect position to scoop the pot, he showed {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{J-Hearts} for a pair of aces and ace-seven for the low. The river was the perfect card for Jolly because since the {7-Spades} hit he made a straight to the eight and the same low. Schwecke got quartered and was left with just 29,000 chips.

A few hands later Schwecke was in the big blind again and Can Kim Hua completed from the small blind. Schwecke moved all in for 14,000 more and Hua made the call. Hua tabled {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Schwecke showed {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. The board ran out {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Hua rivered his flush to knock out Schwecke in 13th place.

Allen Bari Eliminated in 15th Place ($11,957)

Allen Bari
Allen Bari

Allen Bari came back from break with just 52,000 chips and when Herbert Tapscott raised under the gun he decided to go for it. Bari three-bet from the hijack to 45,000 with just 7,000 behind and Tapscott called. Bari's opponent put him all-in in the dark and Bari tossed his final chips into the pot.

The flop read {3-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} when Bari showed his {A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{8-Hearts} as he managed to flop two pair. Tapscott had {A-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} for the nut low draw, a flush draw and a pair of eights. The turn was the {9-Hearts} and when the {Q-Hearts} hit the river Tapscott got it all. He rivered a bigger two pair and Bari made his way to the exit finishing in 15th place.

Daniel Ratigan Eliminated in 17th Place ($9,712)

Daniel Ratigan
Daniel Ratigan

We just witnessed two hands that ended Daniel Ratigan's tournament run in 17th place. We caught the first hand on the river when the board read {2-Hearts}{K-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}. Ratigan had checked to Bryan Jolly who fired out 24,000 and Ratigan tanked for almost 30 seconds before committing the chips, leaving himself with just 18,000 chips. Jolly showed {2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Ratigan was visibly disappointed with the hand his opponent showed. After double checking his cards numerous times he threw them into the muck.

The very next hand Ratigan was in the small blind and Tapscott decided to limp for 12,000. Bari and Schwecke called from the cutoff and the button before Ratigan moved all in. Griffin called from the big blind as did the other three players giving us five way action on the flop with one player all in for his tournament life.

The flop came down {9-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Griffin lead out for 12,000. Tapscott and Bari called while Schwecke mucked his hand. The turn was the {J-Clubs} and Ratigan got up from his seat. Griffin bet 24,000 this time and Tapscott was the only caller. On the river the {J-Hearts} showed up and Griffin put in another bet. Tapscott tanked for a bit before releasing his hand and Griffin showed {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a king-high straight. Ratigan flashed his {A-}{3-}{7-}{8-} and made his way out the door. We are down to 16!

Dutch Boyd Eliminated in 17th Place ($9,712)

Dutch Boyd
Dutch Boyd

We just lost one of our three remaining bracelet winners, Dutch Boyd. We caught the action on the flop which read {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and Boyd saw his 10,000 bet got raised and he made the call. The turn was the {8-Diamonds} and Boyd checked to Mascio who fired out 20,000. Boyd tanked for a bit before sticking in his final chips and Mascio made the call.

Boyd showed {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and was up against {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. Mascio had already made broadway and with no low possibilities Boyd was looking for a king or a queen to hit a full house or chop the pot with the same straight if a ten hit the river. The two time WSOP champion als had a flush draw to add to his outs but the river was the {A-Spades} giving just a slightly improved hand, but he was not able to beat Mascio's straight. Boyd goes home in 17th place.

Bari Hurting Bad

Allen Bari
Allen Bari

Allen Bari is finding the cards, hitting the boards but not holding up against his opponents so far. He just lost two big pots knocking him all the way down to 190,000 chips.

First Wes Self raised to 20,000, Can Kim Hua called from the cutoff and Bari called from the small blind. The flop came down {A-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Bari checked to Self who bet 10,000, Hua called and Bari followed his lead. The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and Bari lead out for 20,000. Both Self and Hua made the call. The river was the {5-Hearts} and Bari bet another 20,000 and both his opponents made the call. "Wheel and three-six," Bari announced right away stating he had made the nut low and a six high straight.

Bari tabled his {2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and was disgusted to see that Can Kim Hua had {A-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs} rivering a full house to beat Bari's straight but he also had the nut low. Self showed {A-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs} for the same low as the two other players making sure the dealer had his work cut out for him. Hua got half the pot for the high and all three players got their portion of the low pot.

Just a few hands later Bari raised to 20,000 from the cutoff and Tyler Schwecke called from the button. Gavin Griffin called from the big blind giving us three-way action. The flop was {K-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Griffin was the only player to fold to Bari's bet. The turn was the {A-Diamonds} and Bari bet another 20,000, Schwecke called. The river was the {9-Hearts} and Bari put out 20,000 right away. Schwecke hesitated and then put in a raise to 40,000. Bari snapped him off but had to muck when Schwecke showed {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a set of kings.

Bari started the day second in chips but he's in serious trouble right now after losing a couple of very important hands.

Wellington Draper Eliminated in 20th Place $7,989

Wellington Draper
Wellington Draper

Wellington Draper was all in for his tournament life for the fourth time, but this time he couldn't find a way to chop or scoop the pot. Draper raised to 20,000 from the cutoff after which Spanne three-bet from the button to 30,000. Mascio was in the big blind and he made it 40,000. Draper called all in for less and Spanne called as well with little chips behind.

The flop came down {2-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Mascio got all his chips into the pot as well. Spanne had him covered by just a few chips and we had two all-in players.

Wellington Draper{A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Joey Spanne{K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Greg Mascio{A-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The turn was the {9-Clubs} and the river the {5-Hearts} giving Spanne the nut low and Mascio took down the high with two pair, eights and deuces. Draper was left empty handed and he started making his way over to the payout desk. For his 20th place finish Draper will collect $7,989.
