Idema Doubles

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

An early position player raised to 3,300 with Daniel Idema raising to 7,400 right behind him. Gabriel Nassif thought about it from the small blind but ended up folding. When it got back around the early position player, he went all in and Idema called for less.

EP: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Idema: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Idema's eights hold up for the double up.

Mackinnon Aces Get the Double

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

DJ Mackinnon had his {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} laid out in front of his chips and the dealer was counting his stack. He had doubled when his hand won on a board of {6-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Mackinnon doubled his stack and now has 79,000.

Andy Bloch Busted

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Andy Bloch
Andy Bloch

We missed the precise action but Jose "Nacho" Barbero told us that Kyle Cartwright had opened preflop and Andy Bloch had called from the big blind. Bloch had check-shoved on {8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} and had received a call. Bloch had a spade or queen to hit with his {Q-Spades}{3-Spades} as Cartwright tabled {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. The {10-Diamonds} on the turn and {J-Diamonds} on the river didn't help Bloch who was already on his way to the exit as we approached table 443.

That table is still incredibly tough with, amongst other, Kyle Cartwright (seat 1), Adam Sanders (seat 2), Phil Ivey (seat 3), Nacho Barbero (seat 8) and Darryll Fish (seat 9).

Caramatti Getting Richer

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Niccolo Caramatti
Niccolo Caramatti

The {q-Hearts}{2-Spades}{j-Spades} flop was on the board when the player in the cutoff moved all in for 39,000. Niccolò Caramatti, one of our start of day chip leaders, had a tough decision in front of him. After thinking it through he called tabling {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and was happy to see his opponent's {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}. The {3-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} river and turn cards did not change things and Carmatti keeps growing his stack.

Eveslage Doubles Opponent

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Chad Eveslage and his opponent had their cards flipped over when the board read {k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. Eveslage had two pair with Kings and Eights. His opponent had him in big trouble with Pocket Tens. Eveslage needed a king on the river, but it came the {6-Clubs}.

Eveslage doubled his opponent up. Eveslage dipped down to 86,000.
