Blumenthal Rakes One with Straight

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Hand #36: Eddie Blumenthal limped from the small blind, and Noah Schwartz checked to see a {5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop. Blumenthal bet out 20,000, and Schwartz made the call. The turn came {q-Spades}, and Blumenthal continued betting, 55,000 this time. Schwartz again called, and the river was the {9-Diamonds}. Blumenthal bet a final time, 120,000. Schwartz called after thinking briefly. Blumenthal showed {6-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{a-Spades} for a straight to the nine, which was good.

Hand #37: Eric Shanks raised preflop, and Shawn Silber called in the big blind. The flop came {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, and Silber check-folded to Shanks' 31,000 bet.

Hand #38: Blumenthal raised to 32,000, and David Greene called from the big blind. Both players checked the {9-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{k-Clubs} flop, and a {7-Clubs} turned. Greene fired out pot, 72,000. Blumenthal folded.
