Action began preflop with Barry "Big Dog" Lang on the button. He raised to 8,000 and was called by Dario Sammartino from the big blind.

He sat in that position for nearly a minute before finally leaning forward and grabbing raising chips. He raised to 14,000 and without any theatrics, Sammartino called.

This sent Lang into a frenzied laughter.
"You fold that?" He chuckled.
"You had a six," Sammartino said, confident in his read.
"I bluffed you boy! You know I bluffed you. I bluffed you like the big dog I am."
"Show it," Sammartino responded.

With that, Lang picked up the lead in the heads-up match.
