Kling and Anderson Busto

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Lauren Kling
Lauren Kling

Lauren Kling and Calvin Anderson had very different days that unfortunately for them both ended with bustouts just inside the top 100. Kling came in with a big stack, and wasn't able to get any traction going all day. Anderson on the other hand came in as an average stack, then built it up to one of the biggest stacks, before losing a big pot, then busted shortly after.

Yu Be Gone

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Ben Yu
Ben Yu

Ben Yu moved all in and was quickly called by Justin McWilliams.

Yu: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
McWilliams: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

McWilliams had Yu dominated going to the flop and Yu was at risk of elimination. The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and the the king kicker of McWilliams was good enough to send Yu to the rail.

Carroll Loses One Before Dinner

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

James Carroll raised it up to 9,000, and a player in middle position put out a min reraise to 14,000. It got back to Carroll, and he tossed the call in. The flop came {3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, and Carroll bet out 11,500. The second that Carroll's chips touched the felt, his opponent moved all in for about 50,000, and Carroll quickly released his hand, dropping him to 96,000 in the process.

Julius Ups The Agression

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

We didn't see the preflop action but there was about 21,000 in the pot. The {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop was dealt and the player in the big blind checked over to Ryan Julius, in middle position. Julius bet 7,500 and the big blind raised to 20,000. After assessing his and his opponent's stack, Julius reraised to 40,000 and the player ended up folding to the pressure.

Big Slick Works for Bronshtein

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

There was about 10,000 in the middle when we got to the table to see Yuval Bronshtein and Richard Cresiski heads up on the turn, with the board reading {k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Bronshtein fired out 7,500, and Cresiski made the call. The {j-Clubs} hit the river, and Bronshtein thought for a few moments before assembling a bet of 11,500, and slid it into the middle. Cresiski only took a few seconds to call, and Bronshtein tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} for kings and sevens.

Cresiski kicked his hand in, and Bronshtein upped his stack to 125,000 on that hand.
