Stout Out, Alaei on the Ascent

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

A couple more bustouts to report, bringing them ever closer to the cash — Roman Yitzhaki and Matt Stout.

Following Yitzhaki's elimination on a neighboring table, a big hand developed between Stout and Daniel Alaei that saw the pair already having built a pot of about 30,000 when the {7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} flop hit. Alaei led for 23,000 and Stout called. The turn was the {J-Diamonds}, at the sight of which Alaei bet 70,000. Stout then raised the pot, Alaei pushed all in, and Stout called with the 250,000 or so he had left.

Stout had {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for two different flush draws while Alaei held {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for top two pair. The river was the {5-Spades}, and Stout hit the rail as Alaei catapulted up around the top of the counts.
