Travis Pearson Eliminated in 9th Place ($16,118)

No-Limit Hold'em

Steven Wolansky opened to 18,000 from the hijack and Eric Crain cut out a three-bet to 35,000 from the next seat over. It folded to Travis Pearson in the small blind and he announced a four-bet all in for 135,000. Wolansky tanked for about a minute before folding. Crain called and the hands were tabled:

Crain: {A-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Pearson: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Pearson seized a tight grip on the hand when he flopped a set on the {5-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop.

"Jacks are live!" someone chimed from the other end of the table.

Just like that the {J-Hearts} struck the turn, giving Crain Broadway and the lead. The {3-Clubs} bricked out for Pearson on the river and Crain was able to score the elimination.

"I folded pocket jacks," said a stunned Wolansky after the hand. The rest of the table gasped at this admission.

With Pearson's elimination, we are officially at our final table!

Marco Johnson Eliminated in 8th Place ($20,669)

No-Limit Hold'em

Greg Mueller opened to 13,500 from under the gun. Marco Johnson shipped for 74,500 more from the small blind, and the big blind folded. Mueller went into the tank, saying he had a good hand but didn't want Johnson to feel slowrolled. Finally, he called.

Mueller: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Johnson: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

"Not what I wanted to see," Mueller said.

The {q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} was exactly what he wanted to see, however. A {4-Clubs} turn meant Johnson needed a king or a jack to survive. The river was the {7-Clubs}, however, and Johnson was finished.

Crain Takes First Stud Pot

Level 22

Stud

Eric Crain: {x-}{x-} / {j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{7-Spades} / {x-}
Steven Wolansky: {x-}{x-} / {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts} / {x-}

Steven Wolansky completed and Eric Crain raised the action. Wolansky called to see fourth street.

Wolsansky paired tens on fourth and led out with a bet. Crain stuck around and drilled a pair of jacks on fifth. He fired out and Wolansky called. Crain bet and received a call once again on sixth and tossed out one last bet on seventh. Wolansky could not call on seventh and Crain was awarded the pot.

Mike Wattel Eliminated in 7th Place ($26,966)

Omaha Eight or Better

Greg Mueller raised from under the gun, and Mike Wattel called from the big blind.

The flop came {3-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{10-Clubs}, and Wattel check-raised the last of his chips.

Wattel: {2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{j-Spades}{5-Hearts}
Mueller: {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Mueller had the superior low draw, but Wattel's threes led for high. A {k-Hearts} fell on the turn, and Wattel was in decent shape to survive. An {a-Hearts} river gave Mueller both the high and the low though, and Wattel hit the rail.

Dario Alioto - 6th Place

Omaha Eight-or-Better

Eric Crain opened from UTG+1 with a raise and it folded around to Dario Alioto who called out of the small blind. The flop came {J-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Alioto checked. Crain continued and Alioto slid out a check-raise. Crain three-bet and Alioto came back with a four-bet. Crain capped it and Alioto called.

The {A-Spades} turned and Alioto moved all in with his last bet. Crain called.

Crain: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Alioto: {A-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

The river bricked out for Alioto and Crain's wheel was enough to scoop the pot. Alioto was eliminated in 6th place and will collect $35,634 in winnings.
